Hair. Another photographic exploration continuing notions of reduction and shifts in meaning. Here, the female subject has been reduced to different captured frames of hair in motion. The hair, in reduction and isolation has been reanimated and shifted from its pre-existing relationship with that of its owner. In isolation, the hair has taken on a life of its own and has become an entity that now lives separate from its owner. But despite the total abstraction there remain remnants and indicators of what and how that hair has been made up. As well as certain indications of the owner and the personality of the owner that seem to remain captured within the hair as a separate unit.
